Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account info: your email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider, Supabase).
• Household and meal plan data: your household setup (how many people, dietary preferences, cuisine likes, and notes you enter) and the meal plans generated for you.
• Payment info: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

How we use it

• To run the app: generate your meal plans and grocery lists, and manage your subscription.
• AI meal planning: when you generate a plan, your household preferences are sent to Anthropic (the AI provider) to create the plan, then returned to you. This data is processed to provide the feature, not for advertising.
• We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run the app: Supabase (database and login), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI analysis when you request it), and Cloudflare (hosting). Each processes data only to provide their service.

Your choices

• You can delete your account and data at any time by emailing [email protected].
• Dietary preferences you enter are used only to build your meal plans. Share only what you are comfortable sharing.
• You can cancel your subscription any time via the link in your Stripe receipt email.

Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active. Data is encrypted in transit and protected by row-level security so only your account can read your records.

Children

HalfPlate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
